Calp increases investment in Alicante Gastronómica to €40,000 for 2026 edition

Calp Town Council presented on Monday 28 September 2026 details of its participation in the Alicante Gastronómica fair, which will take place in Alicante from 2 to 5 October. Councillor Ana Sala noted that "together we are stronger" when referring to collaboration between the administration and the local business sector.

According to the Town Council, €6,000 will be allocated to the expansion of the municipal stand, within a global investment that will range between €30,000 and €40,000. In the stand, in addition to the Calp Fishermen's Guild, establishments such as Carnicería Calpe, Carnicería Cloti, Panadería Rosa, Ca Loli and Bodegas Casanova will participate, among others.

Showcookings and tastings

The fair will feature two showcookings by Calp establishments. The first will take place on Friday 2 October at 14:45, hosted by Casa Cantares, and the second on Monday 5 October at 14:30, with El Bambero. Álex Coca highlighted this latter establishment, saying "with this we now give continuity to this establishment". According to the Town Council, El Bambero is attending the fair after winning the award for best tapa at the Fira de Calp.

Among the planned tastings, on Saturday and Sunday fideuà made with White Prawn and Calp Fish will be offered, whilst on Monday fried white prawn cones will be served. The Coca María, made by Panadería Rosa and Ca Loli, will also be available, accompanied by mistela from Bodegas Casanova.

Free transport

The Town Council has organised free 55-seater buses from Calp to the fair, available on Saturday and Sunday. AEMCO president Santi Ferrer thanked "the collaboration between the Town Council, businesses and the Fishermen's Guild to strengthen the hospitality and gastronomic promotion" of the municipality.
