T'Ajudem a Créixer, under the direction of José Luis León, coordinates for the ninth consecutive year this municipal programme designed to promote active and healthy ageing among residents registered in l'Alfàs del Pi.
Times and venues
The programme includes sessions of the so-called Healthy Workshops on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10:30 to 12:00, at the Pensioners' Centre, with a third session on Thursdays, from 11:00 to 12:30, at the Platja Albir Social Centre. This is complemented by a physical activity focused on health, held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 10:00 at the covered court of the Sports Complex-Pavilion, as well as Pilates and posture hygiene classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:00 to 17:00.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 17:00 to 18:00, are reserved for dancing: healthy on one day and inclusive on the other, the latter open to participants of any age, "from 0 to 100 years". On Tuesdays, from 17:30 to 19:00, specific care is also offered for people with cognitive decline, organised in collaboration with AFA Marina Baixa. The programme is completed with intergenerational activities in addition to the regular sessions.
Aim of the programme
Councillor Marisa Cortés noted that these proposals aim to promote healthy lifestyle habits and improve the quality of life of older people in the municipality.
