An afternoon of music and diversity

The event will run from 18:00 to 22:00 at La Glorieta and will feature performances by drag queens and invited artists. The headline act will be Valencian drag queen Choriza May, based in the United Kingdom, who took part in the third series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs The World. Singer Kevin Coll from Menorca will also perform.

Michel Vintage, Violeta Moore and DJ Luiggi complete the line-up—artists already known from previous editions of Diva Dénia. The show will be hosted by La Villaescusa.

LGBTQ+ organisations fair and new addition

As in previous years, the area around La Glorieta will host a fair of LGBTQ+ organisations. This edition includes the participation of Sexòlegs sense fronteres, which will provide professional advice on sexual health. A photo booth will also be set up so the public can meet the artists.

Statement from the councillor

Councillor Javier Scotto highlighted that the celebration coincides with the day after Valencian Community Day and described it as "an opportunity to experience the pride event beyond the major events in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona and enjoy LGBTQ+ music, shows and culture".

Scotto added that the event represents the "epicentre of diversity, an occasion to which we are all invited to enjoy, through music, a space of coexistence". He explained that "against hatred, LGBTQ+ culture brings the community together, but also men and women, all families, people with disabilities, people of colour, whatever their origin and beliefs. We celebrate what we are in each one of us".

Finally, the councillor noted that the event is "an opportunity to recall that speaking of Valencian identity is also speaking of a society built from multiple histories, families, identities and diverse ways of living, expressing ourselves and loving. Diva Dénia Music Pride thus asserts that diversity is also part of Valencian culture and collective identity".
