A month and a half of activities

The councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, has announced alongside participating organisations the calendar of events that Benidorm will dedicate to mental health for almost a month and a half, between 5 October and 15 November 2026. Participants include, amongst others, AFEM, Benidorm's CEEM, Onda Benidorm, the La Torreta Social Centre and Benidorm's Addiction Behaviour Unit.

The calendar begins at 11:00 on 5 October with a film forum around the documentary "Beckett and the White Rhinoceros". A day later a collective talk is scheduled centred on how the environment and social relationships influence emotional wellbeing.

Central event around 10 October

The 7 October event will combine a special slot on the municipal broadcaster Onda Benidorm with an adapted yoga session. On 8 October, coinciding with the approach of World Mental Health Day—which is commemorated on 10 October—AFEM will set up an information point next to the council between 09:30 and 13:30. That same day a commemorative photograph will be taken and a manifesto will be read aloud.

The march, final event on 15 November

The programme will close on 15 November with the city's first solidarity march for mental health. The route will start in Elche park, continue along Poniente seafront and end at the former Red Cross station.

Participants can register for €10 for adults and €6 for children, which entitles them to a commemorative t-shirt. All money raised will go to AFEM to strengthen its psychosocial rehabilitation programmes.
