The regional government has launched preliminary work to improve the connection between Xàbia and Gata de Gorgos via the CV-734. The regional body has awarded the drafting of the technical document to the UTE Civis Consultores Asociados–Guía Consultores, as announced in July following formalisation of the contract.

The assignment, valued at €269,083.19, covers a 24-month period to complete the study, which will encompass approximately 7 kilometres of this road, including its links with the CV-740 and the CV-742.

The work will be carried out in coordination with Xàbia Town Hall and will take into account the action planned by the Ministry of Transport to link the AP-7 with the N-332 as it passes through Pedreguer and Gata de Gorgos.

For the time being, the award is limited to the drafting of the project, with neither the cost of the works that may derive from it nor the timeframes in which they could be carried out yet defined.

The president of the regional government, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, announced this initiative during a visit to Xàbia port, an occasion on which, as La Marina Times reported, a group of teachers from the municipality gathered to demand improvements in public education.
