Police sanction 66% of scooters and bicycles checked in Dénia operation
Dénia's Local Police, together with the National Police, carried out a week-long preventive control operation on electric scooters and bicycles in which the majority of the vehicles checked were sanctioned.

Dénia's Local Police, in collaboration with the National Police, carried out a preventive control operation over approximately seven days targeting electric scooters and bicycles in the municipality.
Control results
Of the total vehicles checked, 66% received a sanction. In total, 42 bicycles and personal mobility vehicles (PMV) were controlled and identified, resulting in 28 reports for traffic offences. The checks included verification of helmet use, speed, permitted circulation zones and the possible presence of alcohol or drugs in drivers.
Theft verification
Beyond traffic offences, officers verified the chassis and serial number of 38 vehicles. As a result, four of them were immobilised on suspicion of having been stolen.
Call for collaboration
Dénia's Local Police emphasised that "inter-institutional collaboration and prevention are key to guarantee coexistence and safety on the streets of our municipality". The force recommended users to "respect the rules, be visible and always keep the invoice or serial number of the PMV to facilitate its location in case of theft".
