El Arenal resident reports dozens of cars crossing continuous line daily on avenida de la Llibertat

A resident of El Arenal in Xàbia has reported that numerous drivers regularly cross the continuous line on avenida de la Llibertat to enter calle Sant Rafael. According to his account, "every day 30 or 40 cars cross the continuous line to gain access", a figure he claims increases especially during the summer months.

The resident maintains that he has been reporting this problem to Xàbia's Local Police for three years without the situation being resolved. According to his testimony, at the end of summer he went in person to the police station to insist on the need for greater enforcement in the area.

Camera proposal

Among the measures he proposes to stop these manoeuvres, the resident suggests installing cameras with number plate recognition, "like those used in car parks", with the aim of identifying offenders who cross the continuous line.

The resident is ultimately calling for greater police presence and surveillance on avenida de la Llibertat to prevent this traffic violation from being repeated.
