Altea closes traffic on Pont del Montcau for sewerage works

Traffic closure for works

Altea Town Council has scheduled the closure to traffic of a section of Pont del Montcau street for Monday 5 October, specifically between Plaza de la Cruz and the start of calle Salvà. The measure is due to the continuation of renovation works on the sewerage and water supply networks in the area.

Alternative routes

Whilst the works are ongoing, access to calle Salvà and calle Alba will be available alternatively via calle La Unión and the lower part of calle Candelaria.

Expected reopening

The council expects to restore traffic in that section once the scheduled works are completed and safety conditions permit.

Appeal for care

The councillor for Urban Development, Aurora Serrat, addressed drivers, residents and users of the affected area. "From the Town Council we ask drivers, residents and users of the area to pay attention to temporary signs and use the alternative routes provided, and we thank you in advance for your understanding regarding any inconvenience these works may cause," she said.
