An established event

The Sports Department of Ondara Town Council and Club Atletisme Ondara are jointly organising this ninth edition of the charity event, with the support of the local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the town. The presentation took place at the Town Council and brought together the Sports Councillor, Jordi Ruiz; the president of the local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Mª Carmen Bisquert; representatives of the athletics club and members of the Local Police.

The race will start and finish on Avenida General Bosch, at the height of the Bullring, on Sunday 18 October 2026. Participants can choose between a 5-kilometre route designed for runners and a 4-kilometre route for those who prefer to walk. The start is set for 10:00, preceded by a zumba session beginning at 9:00.

Registration and charitable aim

The registration period will remain open until 15 October or until the maximum capacity of 1,000 runners and walkers is reached. Each registration costs 7 euros, which goes entirely to the Spanish Association Against Cancer. Those wishing to sign up can do so through the Somesport platform or in person at several establishments in the town.

The organisers expect to match the figures from previous editions and exceed one thousand participants again. According to the organisers, the event also has the backing of more than 150 local and regional businesses through sponsorship.

An event that goes beyond sport

Miquel Moreno emphasised that "the race has evolved to become much more than a sporting competition, being a great day of togetherness for participants, families and companions". For his part, Councillor Jordi Ruiz thanked the Local Police for their involvement in ensuring the smooth running of the day.

At the end of the race, a charity cheque will be presented to the Spanish Association Against Cancer and a manifesto will be read, whilst the bar service will be run by the Festers de la Soledat 2027.
