Marina El Portet to be represented at XII L'Almadrava Regatta

The vessel KIM has joined the list of participants in the L'Almadrava Regatta of the Marina, an event that this year reaches its twelfth edition under the organisation of Altea Nautical Club. At the helm of the boat is Yann Lythgoe, who serves as both owner and skipper.

The presence of KIM in the race means that Marina El Portet continues to be present in the calendar of cruising sailing competitions in the Valencian Community.

Regarding the course, the previous 2025 edition set a route of 40 nautical miles for the full crew and A2 classes, whilst the solo category faced a shorter itinerary than the other classes.

A tribute to fishing tradition

Beyond the sporting competition, the regatta pays tribute to the almadraba, the ancient art of tuna fishing that gives the race its name and which has a long tradition along the coastline of the Marina Alta comarca.
