Ifach Calpe and Dénia Bàsquet open Third FEB away from home

Double debut on the road

The fixture list for the opening round of Third FEB has positioned both comarca teams as visitors. CB Ifach Calpe will face SCD Carolinas on Sunday, 4 October at 12:30, whilst Dénia Bàsquet will play against C.D. Estudiantes Cartagena the same day at 19:00.

Positive balance in Calpe, with room for improvement

CB Ifach Calpe manager Kike Valle reviewed the team's preparation. "Pre-season has gone well," he said, explaining that the work had focused "above all, on integrating the new players, trying to get the team running smoothly, getting the players to know each other well, trying to adopt the philosophy we want for the team". However, he acknowledged that the team's current level is "far from what we want to be". Regarding the clash with SCD Carolinas, Valle was cautious but optimistic: "if we manage to maintain our solid defence and dominate the rebound, I think we have a chance of taking the match".

Excitement in Dénia despite absences

Dénia Bàsquet manager Eduardo Clavero approaches the league debut "with a great deal of enthusiasm" and highlighted that "the team has worked very well throughout pre-season". The side faces the match with four significant absences, as Clavero himself noted. Despite this, the manager remained confident: "we have the handicap of four important absences, but, in spite of that, we're going with the enthusiasm of being able to get a victory there and, above all, of continuing to grow".

Clavero described the opposition, C.D. Estudiantes Cartagena, as a seasoned and established side that has kept its key players in the squad for this season.
