FB Teulada Moraira eliminates UD Benissa in La Nostra Copa derby

FB Teulada Moraira beat UD Benissa 1-2 at La Costa and qualified for the third round of La Nostra Copa, after a fiercely disputed Marina Alta derby.

Ortuño put the visiting team ahead with a goal shortly before the half-hour mark. UD Benissa levelled ten minutes from the end through Lozano, but FB Teulada Moraira responded with the decisive goal from Karim with just minutes remaining, making the final score 1-2.

The match became complicated for the home team after Iker's red card, which left UD Benissa with one fewer player for part of the match. Despite the numerical disadvantage, the team managed by Juan Revelles competed until the final minute, although they were ultimately eliminated from the competition.

On the bench for FB Teulada Moraira, coach Juan Ribes "Coca" used the match to give playing time to squad players who see less action in the team.
