Bather falls at Trampolí beach in Dénia and is taken to hospital
A man suffered a fall on Sunday morning at Trampolí beach in Dénia and had to be attended by emergency services, who took him conscious to a hospital centre for assessment.
The incident took place on the morning of Sunday 27 September 2026 at the Dénia beach, according to local sources. Two patrols from Dénia's Local Police, an incident response vehicle and a Basic Life Support ambulance mobilised by the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) attended the scene.
The man affected remained conscious when he was taken to hospital, where doctors were to determine the extent of his injuries. The CICU described the impact suffered as "a minor wound", according to Dénia.com.
Versions of what happened
The exact circumstances of the fall are not officially confirmed. According to COPE Dénia, the man was walking barefoot on the sand when he lost his balance and hit his head. Dénia.com, for its part, suggests that the bather slipped on rocks present in that area of the coastline.
A stretch of beach with precedent
COPE Dénia recalled that, a month before this incident, another accident had been recorded in the same area of Trampolí beach which ended with a man's death, although this information has not been confirmed by other sources.
