Pedreguer and Orte sign declaration of intent to begin twinning
The municipalities of Pedreguer and Orte (Italy) signed a declaration of intent to launch a twinning process, according to Canfali. The agreement must be ratified by the town councils of both municipalities in the coming months.
According to Canfali, the mayor of Pedreguer, Sergi Ferrús, and his counterpart in Orte, Dino Primieri, led the signing ceremony, which was also attended by municipal representatives and representatives of cultural, educational and commercial associations from both towns.
The relationship between the two municipalities is based on five previous cultural projects, with contacts intensifying from 2022 onwards, according to the same source.
Scope of the agreement
With this declaration of intent, Pedreguer and Orte seek to expand existing exchanges to the cultural, youth, educational and commercial spheres, according to Canfali.
During the event, the Italian delegation presented its network of businesses, which brings together around 70 establishments dedicated to organising cultural and commercial activities, Canfali reported.

The mayor of Orte, Dino Primieri, noted that there are "many affinities" between both municipalities and highlighted that the relationship has developed "in a very spontaneous way", according to Canfali.
The declaration of intent signed by both mayors must be ratified by the respective town councils in the coming months, according to the same source.
