Ondara to install solar street lamps in Pamis and plans wild boar cull in Alfatares

Ondara council held a neighbourhood meeting in Pamis chaired by the neighbourhood councillor, Miguel Gomis, as part of the fourth round of meetings with residents promoted by the council during September. According to MarinaAlta.es · Dénia FM, more than twenty people attended.

Traffic and lighting

The meeting heard that new signage installed in the area has reduced through traffic in Pamis. In addition, the council plans to install 10 solar street lamps in the coming weeks on the Hortetes de Pamis path.

Old nursery school and parking

The old nursery school building in Pamis will become a social meeting space for residents, and its external wall is currently being repaired. According to the same source, the council is negotiating with landowners to secure land for a new car park in the area.

Mobility and wild boar control

The council is studying a safe connection for pedestrians and cyclists between Pamis and Ondara, although difficulties arise from the motorway bridge. Meanwhile, the council is coordinating with the Hunters' Society on wild boar control in the area, with a first cull scheduled for 9 October in Alfatares.

Residents' proposals

According to MarinaAlta.es · Dénia FM, residents proposed during the meeting an authorisation system for residents in the face of traffic restrictions, a proposal that will be reviewed by Ondara's Local Police.
