Seventy volunteers collect 854 kilos of litter in Calp
A group of seventy volunteers from Cicloturistes de Calp and other organisations collected 854 kilos of waste abandoned in nature in the area of Casa del Cocó and Casa Nova, in Calp, during a clean-up day held on a Sunday morning.
A day driven by cycle tourism
The initiative was driven by Martina Rogers, from Cicloturistes de Calp, and replaced the usual Sunday cycling outing of this organisation with a clean-up action in the surroundings of Casa del Cocó and Casa Nova.
Institutional collaboration
The day had the collaboration of Calp Town Council and the CEPAIM Foundation. From the council, councillors Pere Moll and Mireia Ripoll took part in the organisation, along with Ascensión Navarro.
Results of the collection
In total, the seventy volunteers managed to collect 854 kilos of litter in the area covered during the morning.
