The First Vice-presidency and Ministry of Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality has announced, through the Official Journal of the Valencian Community, the regulations for grants designed to facilitate access to a home for young people with limited incomes living in small towns in the Valencian Community. The initiative, according to the ministry itself, is also intended to help stem depopulation and encourage these municipalities to regain residents.

Amount and financial conditions

The subsidy can reach €15,000 per property, without this figure including expenses or taxes associated with the purchase, and may not exceed 20% of the purchase price in any case. The property purchased may not cost more than €250,000.

To qualify for the grant, applicants must be under 36 years old and have annual income not exceeding five times the IPREM. They may not own another property. Once the subsidy is granted, beneficiaries must maintain their usual residence in the property for at least five years from the purchase.

Compatibility with other grants and financing

Subsidies may be awarded in a manner compatible with other grants or income from any public or private administration or entity, provided they are intended for the same purpose. Processing will be carried out under a competitive tendering system.

These grants are part of the State Housing Plan 2026-2030, which the Valencian Government finances 40%. The announcement comes after, as this newspaper previously reported, the president of the Valencian Government visited Xàbia at another recent event.
