Pedreguer hosted the IV/VI Civic Forum for Employment in Marina Alta, a meeting space promoted by Pacte'MA and Creama to address the changes affecting the labour market and ways to revitalise the comarca. According to La Marina Plaza, the event brought together 80 people.

Among the speakers, Diego Isabel La Moneda, director and co-founder of the Foro NESI Foundation, outlined the transformations taking place in the world of work. Diego Isabel La Moneda expressed "Territories for Life".

Meanwhile, Sergio Del Gelsomino and Angelo Ciocchetti, representing Hortae Le Vie, shared with the audience the experience of the network of traders in the Italian town of Orte. The event concluded with an institutional intervention by Cortes Mª Martínez de las Heras, territorial director of Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality for Alicante, reporting to Labora.

Territorial projects on the table

The gathering also included a round table with technical teams from various territorial initiatives promoted by Pacte'MA: the Marina Alta Observatory, Indústria Ocupa, Xarxa Agrícola, Punt Nàutic and Passaport Marina Alta. These projects receive support from the Valencian Community government, through Labora, and from the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.

As a summary of the forum, it became clear that the labour and economic challenges facing Marina Alta affect the entire territory jointly, and therefore demand coordinated action between local authorities, the business sector, social organisations and citizens.
