Ojos Rojos photography festival returns for eighth edition in Xàbia and Dénia

The Ojos Rojos International Photography Festival will celebrate its eighth edition between 23 October and 29 November 2026 in Xàbia and Dénia, according to Dénia.com. The festival is organised by the Arteria Urbana Association, with the support of the councils of both towns, in accordance with La Marina Plaza.

The programme includes eleven official exhibitions spread across Xàbia and Dénia, according to La Marina Plaza. The opening events in Xàbia will begin on 23 October, and Casa del Cable will open its exhibition the following day, with the Hispania Sacra exhibition by Carmenchu Alemán, according to Dénia.com. In Dénia, the opening events will start on 30 October.

Parallel activities

On 31 October, the Goals for Hope project will take place in Dénia, working with secondary school students to address migration and combat stereotypes, according to Dénia.com. Dénia's Casa de Cultura will host the educational project on 6 November at 10:30 and its opening at 13:00, in accordance with La Marina Plaza. The presentation of Revista D and Goals for Hope will take place on 14 November, and the preview screening, coordinated by Madafaka T.K., will be held on 21 November at Ca Lambert, Xàbia, according to Dénia.com.

The Soler Blasco Museum will host talks on 24 and 25 October, from 10:00 to 12:00, according to La Marina Plaza, whilst photographer Irina Werning will give a talk in Dénia on 30 October at 17:00.

Argentina, guest country

Argentina is the guest country for this edition of the festival, according to Dénia.com. Outstanding photographers include Argentines Marcos López and Irina Werning and Spaniard Matías Costa, in accordance with La Marina Plaza. The programme also includes talks, photobook presentations, guided visits and participatory projects, according to Dénia.com. According to this same source, all activities would be free admission until capacity is reached.
