Cinema on Tour offers free screenings in 25 Marina Alta villages this autumn

Cinema on Tour is a cultural initiative by MACMA offering free film sessions in small Marina Alta municipalities, with the aim of ensuring access to Spanish socially-conscious films in smaller towns. The project began in March 2026 and continues with the new autumn and winter programme.

The project covers 25 locations across the comarca, including Alcalalí, Beniarbeig, Benidoleig, Benigembla, Benimeli, Castell de Castells and Jesús Pobre. Each participating municipality can choose three films per year from a catalogue of eight titles provided by the Ministry of Culture, which includes films such as Robot Dreams, La voluntaria, Soy Nevenka, Un bany propi and Molt Lluny.

Screening schedule

The programme begins on 16 October with a screening of La voluntaria in Benimeli at 22.00. This will be followed by Soy Nevenka in Jesús Pobre on 23 October, also at 22.00, and Un bany propi in Sanet i els Negrals on 24 October at 19.30 and in Senija on 25 October at 17.00.

The schedule continues on 31 October with La voluntaria in Vall d'Alcalà at 19.00, and goes on in November with new sessions: La voluntaria in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell on the 5th at 18.00, Un bany propi in Els Poblets on the 7th at 19.00, Robot Dreams in Beniarbeig on the 8th at 18.30 and La voluntaria in l'Atzúbia on the 14th at 19.00.

Any changes to screening times or venues should be checked through the official channels of the host municipalities.
